Where's Stretcher Bar Warehouse? The Aerial Picture Above Of Our Bay
'
We're located along the south central coast of California. Los Osos is equidistant between Los Angeles and San Francisco. We're near the Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispo, where Cal Poly is located, and some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. Some of the finest vineyards and wineries are nearby, and that famous scenic section of Route 1 you often see in car commercials is North of us on an amazing, scenic, winding road. The photo above, shows our iconic bridge.
Between surfing, golf, shopping, hiking, biking and every other sun-filled activity, you're sure to enjoy this vacation area as much as we do. Of course, work gets in the way, but our appreciation for the environment is fervent. We earnestly wish all of our customers could visit us. Perhaps, this, our habitat, may explain why we're a little friendlier, we just live with a little less pressure. After all, when a traffic jam is considered to be two cars ahead of you at a stop sign, you're probably not going to carry that horrible experience with you throughout your day.

Here's How Stretcher Bar Warehouse Was Born.
.
Stretcher Bar Warehouse was born from frustration.. As commercial consumers of stretcher bars at Giclee By The Bay, Inc., in 2001, the parent company, we found a marginal supply of stretcher bars on the East Coast, and a poor selection on the West Coast. We scratched our heads and decided to order a 20' container from China, that way, we would have plenty of bars for our business if the bars were of good quality. Well, it was, so why not order more and sell it on the West Coast. Obviously, you can see where this is going.
We're not a big company, but we have the machinery and crew to pay special attention to our customers orders. We look over each order and call if we find a problem. That's the right thing to do. And from our end, it doesn't happen often, but, if we make a mistake it's taken care of ASAP.
At Stretcher Bar Warehouse we felt it made sense to apply what was learned from the business model of our parent company, by offering lower prices with quality products. Most stretcher bar suppliers carry similar stretcher bars, but charge more. We felt we could make it up the lower margin but higher volume, so you win and so do we. To top it off, we're using Radiata pine which is why our baars are a tall step above the normal white or yellow pine. They're also sanded to having a slight sheen, are inspected five or more times, straight as an arrow, measured exactly, end-milled to 1/100 of an inch and have no knots. Now that's a run-on sentence but it's what you can expect when you open your SBW boxes!
Thank you for becoming one of our customers.
